States Where You’ll Pay Less Tax

Whether you’re trying to reduce your own personal income tax bill or trying to develop a business, there are different parts of the United States that you might like to move to, if you want to take advantage of the nation’s best tax-free havens. Here’s a list of some states that might meet your needs:
- Texas: No personal income tax, low business taxes. The Texas government wants to promote industries like IT, biotech and aerospace.
- Tennessee: No personal income tax. There are interesting tax exemptions and tax credits for new businesses, in an attempt to encourage more growth.
- Washington: No personal income tax – but beware, because there are high excise taxes on products like cigarettes, alcohol and gasoline.
- Nevada: No income tax, no inventory tax, low payroll taxes. The population is growing and they need all kinds of services – not just more casinos.
- New Hampshire: No personal income tax, lower than average unemployment and a highly educated workforce.
- Florida: No personal income tax. There’s a big diversity of industries and the location makes it a good base for international trade, too.
- Wyoming: No income tax, low sales tax, low excise tax. And on top of that, a low cost of living. Sounds tempting, doesn’t it!
