We all want to fuel up for less with gas prices rising higher and higher, and no predicted relief in sight. There are various ways we can do this more cheaply and a recent article at Yahoo Finance surveyed a few different technologies that help us do so by comparing prices and getting the information we need online or even straight to our cell phone.
One of the most useful sounding sites is the GasPriceWatch.com which offer an application you can simply download directly to your cell phone. Then all you need to do is enter the zip code of where you are and you’ll be able to read a comparative list of prices at gas stations on your phone. If you’re not in your local area then the service is even more useful because it provides a map giving directions to the station you choose.
Another handy way to keep an eye on gas prices is to download a widget from Automotive.com that continually monitors the gas prices in your area. Without having to make the effort of logging in to any particular page, you can see straight away where you should be filling up that day.
