Budgeting Importance

1071315_savings_4The importance of budgeting cannot be stressed enough. In these times, it is very difficult to save for the future or for things we want to buy. In many cases, these things must remain in the store and instead, we must use discipline to put that money away to avoid having to use payday loans too often. Using credit cards is also a bad idea as the payments can sometimes be too much to deal with when money is tight.
If we budget in our daily lives, it is much easier to see how much we can and cannot afford. Even if budgeting is something we have never done before, we must try our best to estimate our daily expenditures as well as our income. For those with salaries, it is easy to guesstimate our inflows and outflows to see into our financial future. Most of our recurring bills can also be accounted for, but there are special events on our lives that may require us to come up with large sums of money such as anniversaries, weddings and birthdays.
One woman obviously did not properly plan for her own wedding. Joanne Kent failed to budget properly and instead decided to embezzle $750,000 from her company. Not only did she get a wonderful hotel and lovely gifts for her guests, but also a lovely prison cell for over two years for her actions. She would probably tell you that budgeting and saving are both great options for saving for a special occasion these days.

If not for one small exchange rate mistake, the now Mrs. Kent would have actually gotten away with her theft. Those pesky exchange rates can really wreck havoc on your future, can’t they? But the guests win out in all of this as they were treated to a lavish wedding on a hillside and a beautiful Armani bracelet, all courtesy of Mrs. Kent’s former employer.
